Kate Brady is a graduate in BA Hons Art & Design at the University of Leeds, UK. Her future aspirations include studying an MA in Design and obtaining a career in interior design. Over the course of her three years at university, Kate has become fascinated with the aesthetics of geometry in design. She integrates this with the desire to produce design objects that have an aesthetical and functional combination, thus removing them from conventional ‘white-walled’ galleries and placing them into idealised and domestic environments. The aim is to bring art and design into every day life – into every day interiors.
This blog holds images of Kate’s own art and design work such as paintings, drawings, sculptures and photography. The aim is to show old and new work, from 2012 – present, thus highlighting her progress and development in design.
Kate also runs a small side-line business, named ‘IKO Design’, which specialises in hand made home decor items such as cards and candles. You can find IKO’s website here
